This Cookie Policy explains how OptGo, Inc. (“OptGo,” “we,” “our,” “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website https://optgo.com and our application at https://app.optgo.com.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites function, remember your preferences, and measure usage. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags.

2. Categories of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary. Required for the Service to function — sign-in sessions, CSRF tokens, security cookies. You cannot opt out without losing core functionality.
  • Functional. Remember your preferences (e.g., the role you signed up as for referral attribution, last viewed campaign). These improve the experience but are not strictly required.
  • Analytics. Aggregated usage measurement (page views, navigation paths). We do not use cross-site tracking, advertising-network cookies, or fingerprinting.

We do not currently use advertising cookies on the website or in the application.

3. Specific cookies & local storage keys

  • sb-* — Supabase authentication session (strictly necessary).
  • optgo_ref — Referral code captured from a ?ref= URL parameter, used to credit recruiter chains during signup. 30-day lifetime (functional).
  • optgo_zip_places_v1 — localStorage cache of geocoded ZIP boundary place IDs to reduce duplicate Google Maps API calls (functional).
  • __vercel_* — Vercel deployment routing (strictly necessary).

4. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when a site tries to set one. Doing so may break sign-in or other core functionality. The browsers below all expose granular controls in their settings:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data.
  • Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Preferences > Privacy & Security.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions.

5. Do Not Track

We honor browser-level Do Not Track signals where required by applicable law. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking on the website or in the application, so DNT signals do not affect most of our functionality.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect.
